KEEPING WASKOM SCHOOLS SAFE & SECURE

At Waskom ISD, the safety of our students, staff, and visitors is one of our highest priorities, and we take this responsibility very seriously. Our safety and security initiatives focus on prevention, intervention, student assistance, preparedness, emergency response, and maintaining secure facilities across all campuses.

Waskom ISD follows all recommendations and requirements set forth by the Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC). The district maintains a comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), and each campus has an individualized Campus Emergency Management Plan tailored to its unique needs.

We rely on strong partnerships with our students, parents, and community to help keep our schools safe. Waskom ISD works closely with the Waskom Police Department, Waskom Volunteer Fire Department, and other local emergency responders to coordinate prevention and response efforts, conduct safety and security audits, and provide ongoing training for all district employees on safety procedures and protocols.
